Awarding Commission

The Commission on Awarding Decorations and Recognitions is a permanent working body of the President of the Republic of Macedonia consisted of a president and 14 members appointed by the President, all of them prominent individuals and representatives from respective state bodies and organizations, citizens associations, scientific, professional and other institutions. The Commission works in compliance with the provisions of the Law on Awarding Decorations and Recognitions of the Republic of Macedonia.

The initiatives for awarding decorations and recognitions are submitted to the Commission on Awarding Decorations and Recognitions of the President of the Republic of Macedonia. The Commission reviews the submitted initiatives during its sessions and based on expert analysis decides upon the validity of the requirements contained in the initiatives and makes a proposal to the President on awarding appropriate decoration or recognition.
